Darnell White – Keyboard, Vocals
Darnell grew up studying piano in New York City and attended The High School of Performing Arts, the very same school depicted in the movie and TV series, Fame. He also studied in Exeter, England and has played in many classical settings. In 15 years as a solo pianist, he traveled throughout the country to areas including Philadelphia, Las Vegas, and Southern California. Darnell's professional performance experience is extensive and widely varied. Highly skilled as a gospel musician, he serves as keyboardist for a couple of area churches on Sunday mornings. Darnell has toured with and done sessions for many notable artists, including Grand Funk Railroad (in the picture above) and The Allman Brothers. His jazz group, D-Train, was voted one of the top three jazz acts in Orlando, Florida. Perhaps, most impressive in his list of credentials is his work as an arranger for musical theater in New York, which he is still able to do thanks to modern technology. Otherwise, that commute would be brutal!
